Dawn’s pink petals bloom
morning’s daily ritual
banal, beautiful
through generations, endless,
a constant like mother love

Thank you, Holly!
Beautiful! ♥ Happy Mother’s Day to you, too, Merril. 🙂
Thank you, Robin! 🙂
A very beautiful poem for mothers!
Thank you very much, Mary!
Beautiful Merril. You’re right a mother’s love is constant no matter where are children are ❤️💔❤️. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!!!
Thank you so much, Barbara. Yes, no matter what.
There is indeed much beauty in the things (like mothers) we often take for granted. It’s good to pause and consider…(K)
Yes, indeed.
Lovely photograph and words. Yes, may we all have the fortune to experience the constant love of a mother. 🙂
Thank you, Rose. 🙂
Your use of the word ‘banal’ really opens this poem for me…beauty and banality are often nearby
Thanks, Janice. Yes, I think so, too–and also, sometimes we don’t pay attention when something seems commonplace.
Although I am late, I was touched to see the beautiful skies and your caring message for mothers. I need to look up banal since for some reason I thought it meant boring! Lol
It isn’t a word I normally would attribute to mother’s or the sunrising. I learn something new every day, Merril. 🙂
Something could be boring because it’s banal. I’m glad I could help. 😉
😉 thanks for humoring and helping me, M.
