Sea screams a storm
of purple winds blowing wild
cool salty spray
rising
as we rose up together–
and after, in luscious light
the moon whispers, “if” . . .
. . .and we dream
I got a bit over 1,500 words written for my book, so I’m taking a quick poetry break before I get back to work. (Slow going when you’re researching at the same time.) The Oracle knows what’s going on.
Lovely, Merril. Congratulations on your word count for your book…nice job! Enjoy your weekend.
Thank you, Jill. I still have so much more to do. I just finished another 1000 words. . .
Yay! I’ve been writing at least a 1000 words each day this past week…trying to keep it up. Happy writing!
And back at ya! 🙂
That’s pretty good going on the book!
Yes, it’s a similar scene, and the second poem of mine comes possibly even closer. Yes, the Oracle knows not just how we feel, but what’s going on around us too.
Thanks, Jane. I just finished another 1000 words, so taking another quick break. The deadline is looming. . . I’ll go look for your other one. 🙂
Wow! I struggle to reach 1000 words unless conditions are perfect and they hardly ever are!
And here I thought I was going so slowly. 🙂 I want to try for another 1,000 before dinner.
You’re kidding!
Deadlines. . . 😉
I need some of those 🙂
Hahaha. Definitely a motivator–and a stress.
Stress I can do with out 🙂
It’s that “if” that keeps us going.
I admire your discipline…(K)
Yes, we need to hope and dream. Thank you.
