William Heritage Winery, Summer 2019
Nature’s gift unfolds–
we’re ensorcelled by sun, moon
rising and setting
gold and silver glow, whisper
there is truth in this beauty.
A tanka for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday, using synonyms for treat and spell.
Wow, what vibrant colors! Indeed “there is truth in this beauty”!
Thank you very much.
The photo was taken in the summer. Things had been very stressful, and I was at a winery trying to relax when my mom’s aide called. I ended up talking to her and my sister and we got the situation sorted out. When I turned around, I saw this sunset–which I would not have seen if I hadn’t gotten up and walked away from where we were sitting to take the phone call. 🙂
Oh, my, Nature must have been eavesdropping and decided to try and lift your spirits with the gift of a sunset. 🙂
Yes, I think so. Thank you. 🙂
Beautiful words to go with this amazing photograph. Merril your work is fabulous!
Thank you–that’s very kind, Holly!
Oh yes … and soon there will be more vibrant colors to be added to that very scene.
Yes. We were actually back there over the weekend. 😉
… and the colors we probably well on display!
How beautiful, Merril! I think sometimes the universe gives us special gifts when we least expect them. You’re a good daughter. ❤
Thank you very much, Colleen. ❤
Beautiful, Merril! What a fantastic photo, too!
Thank you very much, Jill!
And truth in these words.
What a wonderful gift to you and to us. (K)
That picture is AH-MAY-ZING!
And your tanka is lovely, as well…
Thank you! The photo was taken in the summer, and I used it somewhere before. Maybe in a musing.
Worth the double- dipping 😉
🙂
😉
I had to look that one up. Thanks for ensorcelling, Merril
You’re quite welcome, Derrick!
What a gorgeous picture. You’re right, there’s so much beauty in nature––such a gift. 😀 xo
