Rather than destroying the galaxy, the chance encounter is spawning a new generation of stars, and presumably planets.” Credit: NASA, ESA; acknowledgment: T. Roberts (Durham University, UK), D. After the secrets dance
from blushing clouds
and with wild magic
(like long kisses)
wake
~an eternity of ifs~
till you return,
and beneath the honeyed sea-spray
where diamond drops shine in the light
we embrace again and again
remembering this dazzling life
~and yet~
here with fevered almosts
ghosts surround us,
haunting in soft color
firing hearts and voices,
to picture never and always

Ilya Repin, “What Freedom”
The magnetic poetry Oracle and I collaborated on this double puente. So, that’s probably not a form, but I don’t argue with the Oracle.
Form or not…this is beautiful, Merril! Thank you for sharing it. Enjoy your Saturday!
Thank you very much, Jill! Enjoy your Saturday, too.
There are so many similarities! And the poem hangs together perfectly without you having had to bring in more words. The image is just right for the words too.
I did bring in some words, and I took one line from a different set. But yes, there are definite similarities even so. (Of course.) 🙂
🙂
“I don’t argue with the Oracle.”
Very wise.
Yes. There’s no point in looking for trouble. 🙂
🙂
I agree. It’s wise not to argue with the Oracle. No doubt she feels she is infinitely flexible … even if she is not 😉 Love the poem and the image 🙂
Thank you, Marie! 🙂
Most beautifully done
Thank you, Derrick!
Beautiful
Thank you very much!
My absolute pleasure
🙂
I love this, “an eternity of ifs”😍
Thank you very much!
Cosmic dancing in deep space always captures my attention. Your brought excellent transitions with ifs. Well done, Merril.
Thank you so much, Frank. I’m pleased I captured your attention. 🙂
Reading at the end of the day under a starry night: glorious!
Thank you very much, Marian!
It’s just like a dance. Perfect for that wonderful painting. (K)
Thank you! As I was writing, I thought of that painting.
Take what the Oracle is willing to give! Lovely.
Thank you!
This was most lovely, Merril. I like that you allow yourself to be encouraged by the Oracle while giving yourself a little leeway 😉
Thank you very much.
Well, the Oracle and I know each other pretty well now. . . 😉
You are most intimate, methinks…. Lucky for us!
❤
