If I beat away the shadows,
will the moon’s music drift
in a shining spray of silver
to dazzle-dance in haunting rhythms
till the sun wakes—then
if I rise,
languid as a summer day,
will the murky mist shift
to reveal an azure sky, where geese wing
above in raucous celebration of life?
If I ask moon, sun, geese,
will they tell me the secrets
of why and when and nevermore—
of how time is a dream, and how dreamtime flutters
and flits, like leaves in the wind?
If I dream of you,
of laughter flowering,
dropping seeds in my heart
do you grow and bloom–
to live forever?
It took me all day today to visit and get my message from the poetry Oracle. I took the photo this morning. It’s a beautiful day here.
Perhaps the beautiful day was both a distraction and an inspiration, Merril!
Thank you, Marian. Unfortunately, I had other things I had to do, so the beautiful day was not really a distraction.
The final outcome seems to be worth the wait…beautiful. I love your photos this morning. What a glorious day!
Thank you so much, Jill! It was a glorious day.
This is lovely, Merril. It’s like… wondering if you could tell fortunes through nature. I think it’s possible… but I’m in love with nature, and seems you are, too!
Thank you so much, Resa. I suppose people see omens in nature, so why not? 😀
😀
So very lovely 💗
Thank you so much, Katy! ❤️
Most lovely Merril thanks – and the photo too, balanced and flying/flowing like your words –
Thank you very much, Susan!
Beautiful! I do like this more formal style the Oracle used this week 🙂 And the ending, as everybody says is so lovely. (and the photo, of course).
We had the same lofty themes too, full of birds and the endless sky.
Thank you! That’s funny about the more formal style. She likes to change things up sometimes. 😀. Yes, we did have some similar lofty themes.
She doesn’t often come out with this style. I like it. It suits her 🙂
😀
Worth the wait, Merril. And such an apt photograph
Thank you very much, Derrick!
