Ask am I crushed?
Ugly tongues and the elaborate-haired fiddler screech,
while the dead cry in a thousand aching hearts
~but dream shadows sing in blue, waking~
I watching the light whispering if
to pink-shimmered water,
recalling how time flows, after moon to sun
The Oracle always knows. Just as I was about to post this, news came that Joe Biden will be our next president! YES!
Interesting that you were about to publish, “… dream shadows sing in blue” as you got the news.
It is! The magic of the Oracle. 😀
Serendipity, I say! Wonderful puente!
Thank you! 😀
🙂
Well this is eerily similar to mine once again. I did mine early this morning but New York hasn’t stopped honking and cheering since the news broke. (K)
It’s funny, and Jane and I both began ours with “ask.” That’s so cool. I’ve heard Philadelphia is going wild, too!
They are still out on the streets celebrating. Amazing.
So exciting!
Our poems are so alike! The Ask, the blue the wind, the sea, the shadows. But then she knows we are concerned about the same things.
I would say, it’s weird, but I guess it’s not anymore! 😀
Not really. It’s a question of being drawn to similar words. The only weird thing is that although the words are the same, each time we get a different poem…that’s the same.
Yes–that we both began our poems today with the same word!
Some people would call us cheats and fake.
We don’t associate with those people. 😏
Most smart people will be claiming now that they never did.
😀
When I first saw you cover photo, I too noticed “pink-shimmered water.” I love the butterfly garden on Instagram this morning!
Thank you very much, Jill! 😀
I was struck by the “pink-shimmered water” as well.
Thank you. It really was beautiful to see–and much needed that day.
You’re welcome.
Thank you, Oracle! (Just as an aside, the best written description I’ve seen of the hair in the second line is “cantilevered coif.”)
Thank you, again. It does seem cantilevered, doesn’t it? 🤣
😀
So well done – you and everyone else
Thank you! It was an exciting, hopeful day.
Lovely poetic images, Merril, and beautiful photo. 💜
Thank you so much, Gwen!
