I dream of water–
tiny sea-tongues lick and spray the rocks,
and purple shadows prance;
a sparkle-dance, in blue expanse,
the gulls’ wings in white flutter.
From a red boat,
the laughter floats,
turns clouds to golden-yellow flowers.
And if the wind whispers,
what do you want?
I’d say all this–
and a thousand pink-petalled springs,
the light of peace,
My collaborative poem with the Magnetic Poetry Oracle and Odilon Redon. The Oracle seems to be in a good mood today.
Reblogged this on The Wombwell Rainbow.
Thank you, Paul.
This is Kerfe’s poem and my poem too! The Oracle has been networking again!
Hahaha. She does that, doesn’t she? 😀 And you know what else if funny? I was thinking about the gulls, and I was going to use one of my photos, but I just a strong feeling telling me to look for a Redon image. So, then I found the red boat one and added that stanza. 😀
It’s good to know we’re in a safe pair of hands 🙂
Those two have a strong connection!
They do! 😀
We all have the same longings and the same reply. Yes, all of it. (K)
The Oracle knows! 😀
This is a poem that makes me glad to be alive. I love it!!!
How lovely! Thank you so much, Liz!
You’re welcome, Merril!
I love it when the Oracle is in a good mood 😉 I’d say yes to all that too.
Thank you very much, Marie! 😀
The Oracle definitely is in a good mood if she dreams of water.
Though she could dream of storms. . .😀
Luscious is a word I must have used before for your language – there is no there for that first verse – and the very last two words add their own magic,
Thank you so much, Derrick! Much appreciated.
there should be other!
I love, love, love this. ♥♥♥
Thank you!! 💙
This is simply wonderful! How wonderful your pairing with the Oracle and then your pairing with the painting. Beautiful.
Thank you so much, Dale. It’s funny how sometimes things like that just click. I had a strong urge to look for a Redon image, not knowing that Jane had also used one of his works.
You two are so often in sync! Very cool.
It is. 😀
I love this 😀❤
Thank you. 😀
You’re always welcome
This poem is really heart wining loved it!🙏👍
